Business Coaching for Therapists
Let’s face it.
You don’t know what you don’t know - until you realize you don’t know ‘it'.’
The process of running a business, especially if you don’t have a background, degrees, or certifications in business management, can be daunting at times. From figuring out what it means to work in your business while also working on it, deciding what systems you want to implement and how the heck you’re gonna make them all work for you, to branding and marketing, filling caseloads, taking on insurance or staying private pay, how to bill and what all the laws and regulations are around billing, staying solo or going the group practice route, and so (SO) much more, its…. a lot.
But - what if it didn’t have to be?
The first couple years of being in private practice as a mental health clinician are all about figuring out what it means to be a business owner and actually run your business, along with filling your caseload.
You may find yourself looking around at your practice one day when you’re a couple of years in, thinking - ‘Something changed when I wasn’t looking.’ Maybe you want more. Maybe you’re ready to shift from being in-network with insurance to being all private pay. Or, you could be considering diversifying your income. That could mean starting a blog with the goal of monetizing it, having a fun social media page with a big following - but you need a strategy for building it and have zero clue where to start, or finally starting that podcast you’ve always dreamt of. Or, you might be thinking about adding services and expanding in other ways. You may want to rebrand but don’t know where to begin or how to do it. Maybe you realized you have systems that worked once upon a time, but something shifted in your business and now the systems broke. Or, it could be as simple as wanting a better website that converts well for you, but you have no idea where to begin when it comes to writing better copy (or what it even means to write copy).
This is where I come in.
I’ve been in the coaching arena since 2016, first as a student, then as a client, and now as a coach. Running a business and being self-employed is equal parts exhilarating and exhausting, and that wild ride is a heck of a lot better when you have someone sitting next to you, holding your hand and letting you know it’s gonna be ok - especially in the moments when it feels like all hell is breaking loose. Personally, I’ve had coaches in my life in multiple capacities for the last five years, and the benefit has been profound. I have felt consistently supported and learned incredible lessons about what to do and how to be a better entrepreneur (and in some cases, what not to do…), and my businesses have grown exponentially as a result.
I am absolutely certain, if you put in the work, the same can be true for you too. This is a proactive process of taking action on the tasks needed to bring your dreams to life, through planning, strategy, and implementation. Throughout it all, regardless of your goals, we’ll focus on making sure your mindset is where it needs to be to build your business in sustainable, aligned, and authentic ways while creating real strategies and systems for problem-solving.
